Maranatha Orphans Care Trust ( MOCT)
A society where orphaned and vulnerable children’s’ rights are promoted and protected, and children live fulfilled and dignified lives.
MOCT has grown
with time and has expanded its focus to also look into Gender, Human Rights,
Constitutionalism and local governance in its broader sense. While advocating
for the rights of Orphaned Children, the organization has since spread its
wings upon the realization of poor citizen participation in local governance.
This is done through capacitating rights holders to hold duty bearers to
account and ensure there is good governance that is characterised by community participation and engagement, transparency, accountability, social
cohesion and gender equality and equity. Duty bearers are also capacitated to
effectively undertake their mandate in service delivery issues. Conclusively,
MOCT is involved in the fight against Gender
Based Violence and seeks to redress the societal injustices leading to this cause.
